Richard De Lisa
Richard is a life-long hunting, fishing and firearm enthusiast. He has been married for 51 years and has 2 sons and 6 grandkids. He is an NRA Certified Range Safety Officer and most days you will find him helping patrons here at Colorado Clays on the Pistol/Rifle Range. He is a USCCA Certified Instructor and an NRA Basic Pistol Instructor. He served in the United States Army for 3 years and spent 38 years working for the Union Pacific Railroad. He graduated from the Colorado School of Trades (Gunsmithing). His gentle demeanor, vast knowledge of firearms and great sense of humor will ensure you have an informative, as well as enjoyable lesson.

Rick Bua
Amy Propernick
Amy has been teaching firearm safety since 2003. She shot Sporting Clays competitively for about 5 years before her oldest daughter was born and still tries to go target shooting as much as possible. She also enjoys hunting elk, deer, pheasants and other upland birds.
She is an NRA Certified Instructor in Basic Pistol, Home Firearm Safety, Personal Protection Inside the Home, Personal Protection Outside the Home, CCW, Defensive Pistol, Basic Shotgun, Refuse to be a Victim and Basic Rifle. She is a Use of Deadly Force Certified Instructor, USCCA Certified Instructor and Well Armed Woman Certified Instructor. She is a Distinguished Graduate in both the Defensive Handgun and Practical Rifle disciplines from Front Sight Firearms Training Institute in Nevada. She is an NRA Certified Chief Range Safety Officer and you can find her helping shooters here at Colorado Clays. She is also a Chapter Leader for the Brighton Shooting Chapter of The Armed Women of America held monthly at Colorado Clays.
She is dedicated to teaching at your pace and the class sizes are small and intimate. She offers individual and small group instruction as well as women-only classes. She has a very patient and easy-going personality that will put even the most intimidated student at ease. Dee Strbiak
She is also an NRA Certified Pistol Instructor and Certified Range Safety Officer, who is qualified to train shooters in basic handgun safety, meeting the Colorado requirements for a concealed carry permit.

Mike Englund
Mike Englund is a Nationally Certified Instructor and has been teaching shooters since completing the NSSA Instructors Course in 1998. He has been a shotgunner for 30 years, shooting Skeet, Trap, and Sporting Clays. He is also a field shooter and hunts upland birds across the Western States.
In addition, Mile is a successful tournament shooter and understands the rigorous demands of formal competition and the skill-sets necessary for high-level shooting performance.
He has worked with over one thousand shooters at all performance levels, teaching the skills and techniques necessary for the development and improvement of a smooth and effective shooting technique on clay targets as well as game birds.
He is a father and a Colorado native.

Mark Taylor
Cabela’s and Caesar Guerini Pro Staff shooter Mark Taylor https://gueriniusa.com/shooter_profile/mark-taylor/ has over 40 years of shooting experience. He has won many regional, state, national and international clay target competitions. He is the author of one of the bestselling books on sport psychology techniques for trap, skeet and sporting clays “Clay Target Shooting – The Mental Game” and co-author of the book “Break ‘em All” which is considered as the number one book on helping shooters to resolve shooting problems and improve performance. Mark is a NRA Certified Advanced International Shotgun Coach and was an Assistant National Shotgun Coach for USA Shooting. Mark specializes in instruction for women, junior and those having never shot a shotgun. In addition, Mark provides intermediate instruction and advanced coaching at negotiated rates.
Doyle Brewer
Doyle is an NRA Certified Instructor. He is a Certified Chief Range Safety Officer who can normally be found teaching and helping at Colorado Clays.
He has taken numerous classes at Front Sight Firearms Training Institute in Nevada for continuing education and the latest in defensive firearms training. Competed in Cowboy Action Shooting for years (SASS #9269). Shot Trap, Skeet and Sporting Clays competitively. Enjoys instructing classes in Combat Shotguns.
Current NRA Certifications: Chief Range Safety Officer, Basic Pistol, Personal Protection Inside the Home, Personal Protection Outside the Home, Defensive Pistol, Basic Rifle, Basic Shotgun, Refuse to Be a Victim and NRA CCW Instructor. Also is able to instruct and train students to satisfy the Colorado Requirements to be able to apply for their Concealed Carry Permits. Available for small classes or private lessons.
He is a Colorado Hunter Education Instructor in the Colorado Hunter Education Program and is authorized to teach and promote safe and ethical hunting in Colorado.
He is also a certified GLOCK Armorer.

Adam Bird
Adam is a Certified NSCA Level 1 shooting instructor. He has been a competitive shooter for over 20 years. He has won the CSCA state championships in class C, A, and AA as he worked his way to Master Class. With an education background, he can teach you to be a better shooter and competitor if that’s your goal. He can teach all levels of shooters from beginner to professional. He has been trained by some of the best shooters in the country and can pass that knowledge on to you. As an avid outdoorsman, he spends his time hunting, fishing and guiding big game hunts when not at the clays course. He lives in the Denver area and has a flexible schedule to meet your needs. Group or individual lessons available at a reasonable cost.
