April: Classroom & Range
Topic: Intro to ARs
We will meet in the classroom first on this meeting. We will review the fundamentals of shooting a rifle and discuss the proper way to set up your bench rest position on the range. We will discuss the different sighting systems on the ARs – red dot, scope and iron sights. We will have dummy rounds available so you can safely practice the loading/unloading procedures and perform some dry presses before going to live fire.
On the range we will have you shoot from a bench rest position. We will have ARs chambered in .22LR and .223 for you to try.
What to Bring: Firearm in a case, ammunition or $5 if using our ammo, eye and ear protection, $10 range fee, a friend
