September: Field Trip
Topic: Robot – Defensive Shooting
Time for a field trip! We will need to travel to Great Guns in Nunn, CO to use their 3-sided berms to be able to shoot live rounds at a remote-controlled robot (think mannequin on wheels) – Vic the Villain. This will take place in a defensive scenario where the robot will be controlled to either come toward you (attack) or go away from you (retreat). You must decide when is the appropriate time to defend yourself. If you are competent in using a holster, we encourage you to draw from the holster. You are always able to shoot from a ready position if not trained in using a holster. Spouses and significant others are always welcome on our Field Trips! They will be responsible for their own fees, however.
What to Bring: Firearm in a case, ammunition or money to purchase ammo at the range, eye and ear protection, a friend
