Hunters, one of the most important things you can do when getting ready for seasons is sight in you rifle and get some practice on the range. This clinic is designed to help you be ready to hunt and have confidence when you take the shot in the field.

The one hour in the classroom includes: safety check, equipment, boresighting, field shooting positions, rifle set up, scopes and reticle types and basic ballistics.

Range Time includes: getting hunting “zero”, shooting groups and adjusting scopes.

This clinic will include all you need to be ready.

Introductory Shotgun Clinics
Interested in learning about shot gun shooting? This clinic is taught by Mark Taylor, a NRA Certified Advance International Shotgun Coach and Assistant National Shotgun Coach for USA Shooting. This hands-on clinic is designed to introduce men and women who have no shooting experience with the shotgun disciplines (trap, skeet & sporting clays) with proper instruction in a classroom and range setting. The clinic is focused on learning rules and safety, practical handling and shooting skills and range procedures and etiquette.

Time: 9:00 am – 12:00 pm
Class Dates: April 26, May 31, June 28, July 26, August 30, September 27, October 25
Cost: $100.00
The fee includes targets. Ammunition (50 rounds) and shotgun must be supplied by participant. Rental shotguns are available for $25.00. Eye and ear protection will be provided if the participant does not have their own.

Home Defense Shotgun Clinic I:  This course includes will cover the basic nomenclature and function of defensive shotguns. Proper mounting, sighting and target engagement of the shotgun will be trained. We’ll discuss shotgun set-up, side-saddles, optics, ammunition, basic malfunction clearance, and proper loading and unloading. You’ll learn valuable Dry Practice skills that you can practice at home. We’ll also discuss user-level cleaning and maintenance of your firearm. Please reserve your spot at least a week so that we can send information on the class and necessary equipment list.

Class Times: 4 pm – 7 pm
