October: Classroom & Range
Topic: Pumpkin “Carving”
Our most popular meeting! Bring your own pumpkin and “carve” it using your pistol. Remember that .22LR will give you the most precise carving. Larger calibers create more damage. Hollowpoints will result in a pile of pumpkin guts! Feel free to decorate your pumpkin ahead of time. We will hold a competition for the Best Shooting, Most Creative and Well… Nice Try!
On the range the pumpkin carving will be held on the rifle side of the range. We will take 4 shooters at a time over to carve their pumpkins. While waiting your turn we will have pumpkin-themed targets to shoot on the pistol side of the range.
What to Bring: Firearm in a case, ammunition or money to purchase ammo at the range, eye and ear protection, $10 range fee, a pumpkin, a friend
November: Field Trip
Topic: Axe Throwing
Time for the last field trip! Back by popular demand we will head over to Lizzie’s Axe Throwing in Brighton. We reserve 3 bays which hold 8 people each. Employees offer short instruction and tips through out the event. Food and drinks are available. Spouses and significant others are always welcome on our Field Trips! They will be responsible for their own fees, however.
What to Bring: closed toe shoes, a friend
